I run my own successful marketing newsletter, Science Says, ready by over 30k marketers, which means I love the format and I’m always on the lookout for the best ones out there.
Free marketing newsletters are one of the best ways to stay up to date and constantly improve my marketing skills.
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of fluff out there. So I’ve personally curated the best, highest quality ones that I know and trust.
These are my top picks for the best free marketing newsletters in 2025.
-----
1. Science Says
What It Is: Practical marketing recommendations that are proven to work. Every insight is based on gold-standard scientific research. Science, not opinions, delivered in 3-min reads. I’m obviously biased, but I really do think this is one of the best marketing newsletters out there :)
Subscribe to: Get the latest marketing techniques proven to work
What It Is: The newest and best tools for marketers out there, from better analytics to AI content creation. There are always new ways to streamline workflows and become more effective. It’s hard to find these yourself, so I really enjoy having them curated and shipped to me.
Subscribe to: Stay on top of the latest tools for marketers
What It Is: Some of the most creative marketing ideas I’ve seen. Not all will be relevant or easy to pull off, but I find the sheer creativity and energy very stimulating. It’s also short and to the point, how I like it.
Subscribe to: Be stimulated with out of the box marketing ideas
What It Is: Marketing recommendations and improvements applied directly to a real-life business. Great to gain ideas and learn new tactics that you can apply to your own marketing too. If you like the “to the point” style of Science Says, you will like this one too.
Subscribe to: Learn from real-life case studies of what a pro marketer would do
What It Is: In-depth and advanced marketing advice for growing your startup or business. I like how professional and high-quality Demand Curve is. One of the very few no fluff marketing newsletters. It may be a bit of a longer read than your one-minute digest, but it’s worth it.
Subscribe to: Get advanced marketing strategies and tactics
What It Is: As you can tell from the name, this is a bold and unapologetic newsletter on how to create brands people can’t ignore. I like how honest and personality-packed this one is. It's a mix of personal branding, differentiation, and practical advice, and fun to read.
Subscribe to: Get entertaining advice on your improving positioning
Why Follow: Understand the "why" behind consumer decisions and learn how to leverage that knowledge for better results. Katelyn is very good at what she does, and each edition is fun, entertaining, and useful. I always look forward to receiving the next one.
What It Is: Focused on the psychology of why people make buying decisions, it uses short examples to show behavioral science principles or biases applied to marketing. A witty and entertaining read.
Subscribe to: Learn about buyer psychology principles
What It Is: Behavioral science insights and examples for marketers, distilled into practical tips and techniques. It’s smart, well-curated, and easy to apply. Also comes with a great podcast I’ve been on a couple of times.
Subscribe to: Learn about behavioral science in marketing
What It Is: A newsletter by Jason Feifer, editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur, focused on helping you improve how you work. It’s not always strictly about marketing, but it touches on messaging, positioning, and decision-making. I like how it feels both personal and practical.
Subscribe to: Get an idea each week to make you and your work better
What It Is: In-depth advice on influencer marketing. No fluff, which is all too common in the social media space. Great quality insights to help you run influencer campaigns that bring results.
Why Follow: If you’re looking for a steady stream of ideas and trends to stay ahead, this is it. Might be especially useful for those working with digital, content, and social media.
What It Is: Probably one of the best resources to stay up to date with digital marketing news. From changes to how Meta delivers ads, to updates on how Google is listing ecommerce products in results. Short and sharp, just how I like it.
There’s a lot of marketing content out there - but very little of it is actually worth your time. These newsletters are the rare ones I’ve found consistently valuable, whether for creative inspiration, strategy, or just staying sharp.
And if you want one science-based marketing insight each week that’s proven to work (and takes 3 min to read), I’d love to have you as a subscriber at Science Says.
